My health condition and scary encounter with my Family planning method

As a young mum of three, the last thing I would love to hear right is that word ‘you are pregnant’ haha. It wasn’t going to be funny at all..

And why do I say so?

After I had my last baby, after six weeks I went to the hospital immediately to do my family planning. But Before I delivered my baby this conversation ensued between myself and the doctor.

Doc: Madam how old are you?
Me: 2(something)
Doc:Oh my! and this is your 3rd baby?
Me: Yes Doc!
Doc: You need to stop right here, you’ve had like 3 pregnancies in 4 years? Wow. this is your last! I will make sure I register you here for family planning in six weeks time, am giving you that appointment before you get discharged!
Me: Ok (Smiling hehe Lol…)

Well, I successfully had my baby boy and he discharged us after 3 days and I was given an appointment to come back after six weeks.

And did I go for the appointment after six weeks?
Yes, I did and I opted for IUCD family planning method immediately!

Well this made me so scared after I fell ill for two whole weeks that I couldn’t even raise my hands, it was very serious and to worsen it all I started adding weight, my neighbours started telling me that I was adding weight, can you see the devil at work? Lol..At some point, I was like maybe this thing has entered o even with the IUCD, I was so scared to even do a test but joke apart it was so scary, but right now am a whole lot better, I missed you all. I missed my blog, thank you all for your support and understanding may God bless you all.

Tessy you are one strong woman o! 3 kids in 4 years. Chop knuckle.

Weight gain is one of the reasons i find most of these family planning methods scary. Did your doctor tell you that you would most likely add weight once you get the IUCD put in? cos of the hormonal changes so u need to try to stay active. As for me, i'm team natural for now. From my research the 'Arm implant' is okay as well if you are scared of gaining weight.
